Bharat Shah, a native of India, arrived at the shores of the United States of America in 1964 for higher education. With a doctorate degree in Food Science and Technology he spent a decade as a research scientist in food industry. A real estate opportunity knocked at a door in 1979 and he risked his entire life savings and more to accept the challenge. Thirty five years of immersion in hospitality business, industry associations and providing a helping hand to anyone in need has been his lifestyle. He lives with his wife Milan in Atlanta.
VIEW TIMELINELed by Mit Shah, chief executive officer of Noble Investment Group, the Shah family has endowed the Bharat Shah Leadership Speaker Series at Georgia State University. This is the first endowed speaker series for the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration and is the first endowed series for the J. Mack Robinson College of Business named to recognize a distinguished individual. The inaugural presentation was held September 25, 2014 at the Rialto Center for the Arts with students and industry professionals present.
